Does your firm offer a rotation? If so, what does it look like for summer students and articling students?
Summer students have the ability to work with all Practice Groups in our office. Our articling students, however, go through formal rotations. We offer two rotations in the Vancouver office: Litigation and Corporate. Students in their Litigation rotation typically work with our Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy, Labour & Employment and Construction (litigation side) Practice Groups. Students in their Corporate rotation typically work with our Corporate, Construction (solicitor side), Banking & Finance, Pensions, Real Estate and Tax Practice Groups.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a law student who is navigating their job search?
Try not to sound too rehearsed when answering interviewers’ questions. Be yourself!
